SOP: How to Check In on Your App Users Notifications
Objective
To guide team members on how to perform a four-tiered test to check if app users are able to receive notifications successfully.
Key Steps
Once your client o App user is logged in, navigate to the profile page.
Select the settings tab
Scroll down and select the Verify Notifications" button.
Click on the "Start" button to initiate the test.
The test will check
Internet connection,
Notification permissions,
Syncing notification settings, and
Send a test notification to the device.
Confirm if the test notification is received in real-time.
Verify if the user passes all four tests successfully.
1. Navigate to you Profile
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Scroll Down and Select "Verify Notifications"
4. Review what it is testing for and press Start!
5. It may think for a moment or two but it doesn't take long to do the Four tests
6. Success & Test Notification landing
And if not, the App will give you guidance on which of the tests it could not pass and will provide some guidance!
